A Giclée print is a fine art limited edition print that boasts
exquisite color and razor sharp detail. This kind of art print is the
highest quality that can be produced with today's technology. If you want to buy a print that captures the truest essence of the original, then you will definitely want a Giclée.
The word Giclée itself is French, and refers to a spurt or squirt. In
this case it means "spray of ink." From hundreds of inkjets, more than
a million droplets of ink per second are sprayed on canvas spinning on
a drum. Once completed, an image is comprised of almost 20 billion
droplets of ink. The resulting print embodies an endless array of
richly saturated color and captures every nuance of the original
image.
All Kate Holmes' Giclée prints are produced with premium archival
materials: 100% natural dyes on the highest quality canvas. Kate's
canvas prints are available in both Gallery Wrap and Museum Wrap
editions, stretched on durable hemlock stretcher bars. Each image is limited to a series size of 750, and each print is signed and numbered.
